Personalized Fortune Cookies – An Original Way To Get Noticed

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Almost everyone is familiar with fortune cookies. Light and flavorful, these cookies are handed out at the end of almost every meal eaten in an Asian restaurant. Of course, as good as the cookies may be, what people are really interested in are the little pieces of paper inside. From the ridiculous to the sublime, these fortunes are the best part of the cookie. So what if you could print your own message on those little pieces of paper? What if you could create a custom fortune cookie to sell your idea or make your announcement?

There are many companies in American that will allow you to do just that. They make small groups of fortune cookies for each individual customer. Because of this they can create a cookie that looks the way you want it to and more importantly, says what you want it to.

There are so many things that can be done to change the appearance of the fortune cookie. You can get them dyed in a variety of colors. You can get them dipped in chocolate or coated with a colorful candy shell. You can even have them sent as a bouquet. This would attract much more attention than a common vase of flowers.

What’s the Big Deal About Wall Letters?

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

Are you wondering about wall letters? One of the most unique gifts you will come across this year is that of the wall decal. The idea of the wall decal is that a homeowner or apartment dweller can decorate his or her walls without the need for heavy maintenance. This is especially effective for children who enjoy decorating their walls and re-decorating within a short amount of time.

We often associate decals with car decorating but recently, decals have gained wide acceptance in home decorating. Its easy application and water-proof material have made vinyl-based decals a big part of the do-it-yourself home & decorating industry. Several types of decal designs are available but one of the most striking product lines is the wall letters.

Decorating childrens rooms with vinyl-based wall decals and wall lettering are in vogue today. This is because parents and children demand increased speed and creativity. Devoting a whole weekend to painting a wall mural or spraying glue and installing wall-to-wallpaper have now become impractical, when they were once the only option.

Eye-Catching Centerpieces for the Mom-to-Be

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Are you hosting a Baby Shower for some special parent’s-to-be? If so, here are some quick and cute ideas to create baby shower displays for the event:

Diaper Cake The diaper cake is one of the most well-known and easiest baby shower displays you can create for the centerpiece. The diaper cake is created by using a bag of disposable diapers and wrapping them with ribbon into a circle “cake” shape. Making a set of three different size “cakes” with the diapers, you then stack them one on top of each other with the largest on the bottom to the smallest on top. This makes it look like a big layer cake, almost like a wedding cake. Once the layers are put together, add small baby items like diaper ointments, powder, pacifiers, and toys. Then add a “cake topper” like a small teddy bear or rubber ducky on the top. Balloons can be added to give the cake height and then it is placed in the middle of the gift table so guests can enjoy it. The parents take it home with them at the end of the baby shower to enjoy the gifts and the diapers once baby arrives.

Baby Shower Ideas To Impress Your Friends – Hand Made Blankets

Monday, August 25th, 2008

Baby showers are such an exciting event on the pregnancy calendar and of course one of the most important parts of the day is opening the presents. You hear all the Oohs and Aaahs when the expectant mum unwraps all the gorgeous little gifts.

When choosing a gift for a baby there are so many considerations. Is it for a boy or a girl? Should you get something for a newborn or maybe when it’s a few months old? Do you get toys or clothes? etc. But out of all the presents at a Baby Shower I think hand made gifts always have the most impact. Mums will always really appreciate something made especially for their little miracle.

And … after all the guests have gone home, the Mum will perouse her gifts and I guarantee you she’ll stop and study the handmade one again. It’ll also be mentioned for a long time after the baby shower too. Everytime the baby is wrapped in your handmade pressie you’ll get praise over and over.

So, heres a REALLY BASIC guide to making a unique blankie! Trust me its SSSSOOOO easy. If you can sew (almost) straight lines then you CAN DO THIS!

Baby’s Christening Favors

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

A baby’s baptism or christening is one of the most important religious ceremonies in a child’s life, as the beginning of that child’s spiritual experience. To mark this special occasion, families often have a party at the parents’ or grandparents’ home afterwards to celebrate the joy of this event.

As a thank you gift for your guests for their attendance, the family may provide gifts or favors commemorating this milestone in the baby’s life. Here you will find some ideas to assist you in adding favors to the baptism or christening party for your newly baptized baby.

The Cross. Being the universal symbol of love and purity, this is a very fitting theme to incorporate into your theme for baptism or christening favors. Your guests will be touched by the sentiment and contentment it brings them not only on the day of the baptism, but also for years to come. When contemplating the gifts you wish to hand out to your guests you can keep in mind such things as bookmarks, picture frames or any other item portraying the spiritual implications of this beautiful celebration. The cross may also be used to enhance the theme of your party when you choose invitations, linens and other religious items which will portray this beautiful image of God and His eternal love for mankind.

What is a Wall Decal, Wall Sticker or Cling?

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

You may be tired of the look of your room or your kids room. You can give it a new appearance and change the wall designs or the wallpaper of their rooms by using wall decals, wall stickers, or clings. You can also choose different wall decals for the rest of the rooms in your entire house.

What are wall decals and wall stickers? These are wall decorations that you can stick to the wall. Wall decals and stickers are made of water proof vinyl designed with adhesive material for safe sticking to the wall. The adhesives are not permanent so you can remove the wall decals or the wall stickers anytime you want to. It is also made with special glue that will not damage the wall or leave glue marks on the wall after removing it.

On the other hand, clings typically do not have any adhesive at all. They often attach by static cling. They stick best to glass surfaces such as windows or mirrors.

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

There are few occasions more joyful than the birth of a baby. To celebrate this event in the lives of their friends and family, many choose to host baby showers to help share the joy with all. A baby shower can be a simple get together or an elaborate party, but one thing is critical for all types: a good invitation.

You see, if you don’t have a good invitation that clearly communicates the theme and feel of the baby shower, you attendance is likely to suffer. The look, feel, and wording of the invitation need to communicate the nature of the event clearly to all of the invitees.

When designing the invitation, pay attention to content as well as looks. Obviously, you want to include all of the important logistical details such as time, place, and RSVP requirements. Make sure that you include the name of the expecting mother so that everyone understands who the occasion is honoring.
