When Nintendo launched the Wii console way back in 2006, it really was a fairly radical departure from the normal marketing strategies employed in the computer games industry. Even allowing for the fact that the market is accustomed to change at a rapid pace, the Wii was still a significant new development. Instead of following the usual route map of bringing out a new, more powerful, faster console with upgraded graphics, Nintendo introduced a whole new aspect to gaming as a result of the Wii’s control system.
The Wii operates by using a hand held, wireless, motion sensitive controller which can detect motion in all directions. Instead of tapping buttons on a D-pad or manipulating a joystick, gamers wave their hands around, gesture and point using the wireless remote – known as the Wii-mote. It results in a much more intuitive interaction with the game which is different from other consoles.
Learning to play games on the Wii is so simple that even adults can do it. If you are in doubt about what to do just wave your arms about a little more vigorously and see what happens. That is probably one of the reasons why the Wii’s appeal covers a much wider age range than many other consoles.

For the past two years, there has been brutal competition between games consoles. One of the issues with this battle is determining what games console provides the most revolutionary and also practical game controller.
Because of this rivalry, Microsoft introduced its Project Natal for Xbox 360 console at last year’s E3 computer game convention. It’s been launched to take on Nintendo’s Wii ingenious motion sensor control system. Even so, Microsoft may well deny that however people believe that it must be inspired from Wii’s system which is meant to be a direct rival of Wii.
Playstation’s Eyetoy may well come to mind as you learn about Project Natal because Eyetoy is basically a movement capturing camera like Project Natal. But the 3D abilities of Project Natal really are far past that of Eyetoy. The actual gameplay results in being controller-less thanks to Project Natal on Xbox 360. Microsoft believes that element would certainly appeal to considerably more folk who are not familiar with the video gaming society for the reason that they aren’t required to learn how to use a controller while enjoying the games on Xbox 360 console.

Whilst they may be the hot gadget of the moment, it’s worth noting that e-book readers have been available for quite a while. In 1999, the Franklin eBookman was launched (generally held to be the first example of a dedicated electronic book reader). Sony’s PRS reader launched in 2006 and, in 2007, the original Amazon Kindle was released.
2009 was however, the year that e-book readers seemed to really catch the public imagination. A great deal of the credit for this must go to Amazon. The Kindle 2.0 launch in February, rapidly followed by the launch of the large format Kindle DX in June created a real buzz around e-book readers and established them as the “must have” gadget of the year. Very rapidly, the Kindle became Amazon’s best selling product. Over the 2009 festive period it became Amazon’s “most gifted” product ever. On Christmas day, Amazon sold more Kindle books than they did hardbacks and paperbacks combined. Both Barnes and Noble and Sony had launched new readers in advance of the 2009 Xmas rush – but concerns over delivery combined with the fact that the Kindle was already so well recognised meant that Amazon’s dominance continued.

E-Book readers were certainly hot news in 2009. Internet giant Amazon launched both the Kindle 2.0 and the Kindle DX, causing quite a stir and gaining a lot of publicity for e-book readers in general and the Kindle in particular. Competitors like Sony and Barnes and Noble fought back with readers of their own, whilst others such as Microsoft and Apple continued to develop their own hardware for future release.
E-book readers are essentially consumer electronics devices, so it is very easy, and perfectly understandable, to concentrate on the various technical merits and demerits of the devices themselves. Amazon’s Kindle has wireless connectivity, Sony’s Daily Edition lets you lend e-books to your family and friends, the Nook has a color screen, etc.
However, it may be worth considering that e-book readers may very possibly be the biggest thing to happen to reading – and publishing – since the invention of the printing press by Gutenberg in 1440. The invention of the printing press allowed books to be mass produced on paper instead of parchment or vellum. It reduced the cost of books and, quite literally, put them in the hands of the common man.

iPods are easy to take with you anywhere. The best place to take them is in the car. This makes listening to your favorite tunes while driving easy to do. You can literally listen to your iPod using your car radio using the right accessories.
The most popular accessory that is available is a battery charging adapter that you can just plug into the outlet in your vehicle. Internet search giant Google has been found guilty of copyright infringement by a court in Paris. French publisher, La Martiniere, was awarded 300,000 Euros ($ 430,000) in damages and interest. Google was also ordered to pay the sum of 10,000 Euros ($ 14,000) each day until it withdraws the book extracts from its database. The court hearing was initiated by the French Publishers’ Association, La Martiniere and SGDL – an author’s group – who demanded that Google be forced to pay 15m Euros ($ 21m).
Google won’t be too concerned about the size of the settlement – but the ruling may have a bearing on Google’s project to scan as much of the world’s books as possible and to make these available online. At the moment, Google is in the process of scanning as many books as it can. Books no longer covered by copyright law are made available in their entirety. Others covered by copyright may either have small sections made available online or have the entire book made available under an agreed licensing scheme.
