What You Can Give Your Man This Valentine’s Day
Guys, don’t think that you’re the only ones who have a tough time when Valentine’s Day comes around. If anything, girls got the short straw! Think about it. Guys just go out and visit the nearest flower, jewelry, or chocolate store, while women have no idea what to get their man. But it’s not such a bad thing, come to think of it. At least it’s an excuse to shop!
This Valentine’s Day, here are some gift ideas for your man:
Chocolate-y goodness. Guys love the sweet stuff too! There are even specialty chocolate stores that have “special blends” for your guy. Think about it – you can give nature’s aphrodisiac to your man.
Timepieces. Guys can’t get enough of watches, especially when it makes them feel like James Bond. These make great gifts because he can use them anytime, anywhere. Why not get him a watch for dressy occasions? Or, you can get him something practical that he can use every day.
Sleepwear. Here’s the fun thing about deciding to buy your man sleepwear for Valentines Day: you can pick something for him to wear or something for you! Pajamas for him make good gift sets; it’s intimate and thoughtful. Sexy lingerie (with you in it!) is even better. Presenting lingerie as a gift has the makings of a really good surprise.
Electronics. Guys love being tech-savvy. Whether it’s to listen to music, play games or communicate with buddies, men appreciate quality hardware. If you can afford to splurge, get him the latest gadget; maybe a new phone or a camera. If you’re on a budget, an accessory to one of his favorite toys is also a good idea. You can get him that top notch earphones for when he’s online playing RPGs, or a speaker for his PSP. That should make him enjoy his down time even better.
Treats. The best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, so why not get your man a sweet offering? You can always get food baskets from different shops, or make one yourself and load it with cheese, wine, coffee, meats, pastry, junk food, and cookies.
Go sporty. Take a trip and try out a new sport together. Maybe go bungee jumping, kayaking or mountain climbing. It’s a perfect way to de-stress plus you two can get to spend quality time together. If you both are not the active type, you can just buy two tickets to his favorite game and watch together.
A lazy day. If you’re up to the challenge, how about giving your guy a day to just relax and worry about absolutely nothing? You can make him breakfast in bed, save him from the chore that he hates the most and keep him in a distraction-free zone for the entire day. If you can get him some well-earned rest, yours might be his best Valentines gift ever.
Something personalized. Express your affection in creative ways. You can make a scrapbook of your times together or have a personal message engraved on a pendant or ring. Maybe you paint his image on a mug! The ways you can use your talents to create the perfect present are only limited by your imagination.
Indulge his hobby. Valentine’s Day is about giving as well as receiving, so make the day extra special for your man by indulging his interests. You might not necessarily like his hobbies, but you can humor him. Get him a new club, if he’s a golfer. Or, you can get him an auto magazine if he likes cars. Remember, the important thing is to appreciate what he likes for this special day.
